Walking a highway shoulder at night is genuinely dangerous, and I-81 is worse than most. Stay with the car, well off the roadway, hazards on. That is safer than any shortcut to a gas station.

Sometimes a car that will not start is dry and sometimes it is the battery or the starter. If you are not sure, describe what it is doing when you call. We will bring what we need to cover both.

No. Misfuelling means the tank has to be drained by a shop, and running the engine makes it worse. Do not start the vehicle. Call for a tow.
